Our take
I picked this single 5 lb dumbbell for some light toning. It’s basically the same as other budget hex dumbbells—rubber coated, chrome handle, non-slip grip. The hex shape is nice for stability. It feels ok for the price, but the rubber is fairly thin and might not last if used heavily. The collars work fine. For $12, it’s a decent buy for a single dumbbell if you need just one. But if you want a pair, you’re better off buying a set.
