Our take
I’ve used CAP Barbell products before, and this 5 lb hex dumbbell is standard fare. The rubber coating gives a decent grip, and the hex shape is practical for floor exercises. It’s fine for light arm work or adding a little resistance to lunges. But at 5 lbs, it’s very light, so it’s really only for beginners or rehab. The steel handle is comfortable enough. For $12, it’s a reasonable single dumbbell. Just don’t expect heavy-duty construction for the price.
